Meet Victoria
Victoria Smith (ChPC) is a Canadian synchronized skating coach and choreographer. She is currently coaching at NEXXICE Synchronized Skating Teams and Trinity Skating Academy in Ontario, Canada.
Victoria was a member of Team Canada for nearly a decade, partaking in numerous junior- and senior-level world championships and ISU events. Her competitive highlights include winning the 2015 World Synchronized Skating Championships with NEXXICE senior, as well earning two world medals (2014 silver, 2017 bronze) and three Canadian titles (2014, 2015, 2017). After a competitive career spanning 20 years, she retired from competition following the 2017 world championships in Colorado Springs, USA.
In 2015, Victoria launched her professional career with a skills camp in Sydney, Australia for Team Unity (formerly Fire on Ice). Since then, she has partaken in annual coaching contracts with various national teams such as Team France (Chrysalides), Team Turkey (Vizyon), and Team Great Britain (Zariba). Victoria proudly coached Team USA (Adrian College senior synchronized skating team), assisting them in their first podium finish at the US Synchronized Skating Championships. She is the head coach of Canada’s first Senior Elite 12 synchronized skating team - assisting the team in achieving national team status, a podium finish at their first ISU event, and a national title in 2024.

Victoria began skating professionally in ice shows in 2015. She has since skated for various productions in Canada, the USA, and Europe as an ensemble and semi-principal skater. She currently works as a production assistant and choreographer for STORM Productions. Her passion for choreography extends to her troupe, The Edge Collective, a group she co-founded in 2018.
Off the ice, Victoria earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph, graduating with honours in 2018. She holds a teaching certification specializing in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the University of Toronto (OISE). Victoria is a Skate Canada certified national coach, achieving her Chartered Professional Coach designation in 2024.
